Q: Who do I make a check out to in support of the Soccerthon?
A: Checks should be made out to "Seacoast United Maine".
Q: What if I don’t have all my pledges collected prior to the event?
A: Pledges/donations can be turned in up until April 15th. At that time, we will start applying the relevant funds by player to their tuition fees.
Q: What will the funds be used for?
A: Funds collected as part of the Seacoast United Maine Soccerthon will be used for the Club's Financial Assistance and Scholarship Programs. Seacoast United Maine assists several families in the form of financial aid toward their tuition fees. This financial aid/scholarship program allows children and families who may not otherwise be able to participate a chance to play soccer at a competitive level. 50% of the funds raised by each player will benefit the financial assistance/scholarship program, while the other 50% will be used toward that individual player's tuition fees or international travel costs (for those travelling abroad with Seacoast United this summer).
Q: How will my child’s fundraising money be applied toward club tuition fees?
A: Once all donations are collected, Seacoast United Maine will apply 50% of the funds raised by your child to his/her tuition fees for the current 2011/12 year. In the event your tuition has been paid in full prior to the Soccerthon, the Club will issue you a check equal to 50% of the funds raised by your child.
Q: What time does my child play?
A: Time slots will be allocated by March 10th. Teams have been assigned a 3-hour time slot where they will play three 30-minute games. Games will run every 30 minutes on the half hour. The longest anyone will be "resting" is 1 hour.
Q: I lost my pledge sheet, how can I get another copy?
A: Seacoast United Maine encourages participants to use online donations for their fundraising. Information on creating a fundraising page for this Club event can be found here.
