Seacoast United Maine is announcing the creation of a U8-U10 Early Development Program for the Fall of 2010. This will be a non-tryout based program and will not conflict with any Town/Travel or Recreational programs.
The Club believes that from the ages of U8-U10, players should have the opportunity to continue their development with friends in their local programs and not necessarily have to choose between town rec/travel/Club level. Seacoast United Maine is currently working with and forming new partnerships with various town/travel & recreation associations within our region to further develop their soccer programs.
The U8-U10 Early Development Program will consist of the following:
- 6-week training based program, see locations below.
- 90 minute sessions (45 minute skill session, 45 minute game play)
- SUSC-Maine EDP Festival Night (including players from the SUSC-NH EDP) at the Seacoast United Outdoor Complex in Epping, NH.
Seacoast United Maine EDP Locations:
The Armory, Portland
YourSpace, Gorham
Pine Tree Academy, Freeport
After EDP: What’s Next?
After taking part in the U8-U10 Early Development Program, Seacoast United Maine coaches will recommend that all soccer players continue with our programs where they are best suited. This may include the indoor EDP program (7-10 yr olds, 8-week sessions), or trying out for the Junior Academy Program which runs throughout the remainder of the Fall/Winter/Spring.
