Soccer Fitness and SAQ (Speed, Agility, Quickness)

As an exercise physiologist, Martyn Keen has developed many fitness programs relating to many sports, especially soccer.  As a personal trainer in England before coming to the US, Girls’ Director of Coaching Paul Cameron worked with many clients on general fitness as well as sports-specific training programs with a particular interest in soccer.

"Soccer fitness" however is different to general fitness.  It involves aspects that are specific to the game.  This 24-week program is split into three 8-week blocks and each session will include work on a variety of topics.  The main themes will include:  speed training, acceleration, agility, balance, explosive power, muscular endurance, and flexibility.  Each of these components is crucial to complete soccer fitness and each will be covered in depth.  Space is limited!

Class Day Time Cost (SUSC-ME players/non-SUSC-ME players)
Fitness & SAQ (U12-U18 only) Tuesdays 7-8pm $55/$80 per 8-week session
Fitness & SAQ (U12-U18 only) Fridays 5-6pm $55/$80 per 8-week session

Sessions run for 8 weeks each. 
Online registration for each 8-week session during the 2010/2011 indoor season will be available in the Fall of 2010.
