Director Gordon comes to Seacoast United Maine from the Rio Rapids Soccer Club in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he held the position of U15-U19 Boys Director. As well as coaching older boys teams, Matt was responsible for coaching staff and player development throughout the age group, helping staff and players to realize their personal goals both on and off the field. Matt also held oversight regarding the technical direction of the boys side, developing an elite player development pathway, with style of play documents as well as college recruitment within the club. 

Matt will continue his work on the boys side in his new role at Seacoast United Maine, as well as taking on General Manager duties for the Seacoast United Maine National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).  His focus on player development and performance will be a great asset in continuing the work begun by Martyn Keen on all SUSC ME - South boys age groups.

Matt has held his USSF A license since 2014 and his USYSA Youth License since 2012. He also has a Bachelors of Science from Anglia Ruskin University in Coaching for Performance in Football. Matt was also the Head Coach and Technical Director of Albuquerque's semi-professional team from 2014-2017, Albuquerque Sol FC who play in the USL-PDL.  Growing up in England, Matt played semi-professional soccer for Hinckley United FC.  An avid Leicester City supporter, Matt also has a passion for fitness and spending time in the mountains hiking and snowshoeing.
