It’s not often the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal, Club America, and Manchester United get together and play… but this past weekend they did.  On Saturday, Seacoast United Maine hosted it’s first of two Junior Academy Jamborees at the “Your-Space” facility in Gorham.  Each one of the Junior Academies (Topsham, Portland and Gorham) was split up and given a club name.  Each team got to play several short matches against other Junior Academy teams over a span of two hours.  The players were fantastic as they showed off some of the skills they had learned so far such as:  Dribbling to space, changing directions, passing and moving, etc.  The coaches were very impressed with the development in the players and they cannot wait to see what the next Jamboree has in store.  Alex Millones of the Topsham Junior Academy (Club America) had the goal of the Jamboree, scoring on a full volley that painted the upper ninety of the goal. 

The next Jamboree will be held again in Gorham on January 21st, 2012 from 11am to 1pm. We look forward to seeing the Junior Academy player’s skills progress and some more brilliant goals!
