U12 Girls Elite Twombly

Our last team we’d like to spotlight for the month of September 2014 is the U-12 Girls Elite team coached by Steve Twombly. Over the past month they havebeen competing in the NEP against teams from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

In their first match of the NEP season Coach Twombly's young ladies were able to get a victory over a very good Boston Breakers Academy team.  The girls than played a GPS-Mass team to a 3-3 draw. This past weekend the girls showed off all their hard work from training into an impressive 3-0 win vs GPS-Boston.

"I've been really impressed by the commitment level of the girls.  Not just the expected things like attendance, but also the willingness to apply concepts to training and ultimately, match conditions.

They work really hard to get better and soccer is important to them. Their compete level is through the roof and that bodes really well for their future, both as individual players and as a collective." said Coach Twombly of his girls.

The roster includes Riley Andrews (Brewer), Olivia Bammel (Sanford), Emma Banks (Brunswick), Lily Davis (Bowdoinham), Parker Harnett (Yarmouth), Carly Intraversato (Freeport), Emily Johnson (Scarborough), Hailey Koons (Standish), Elaine Lemieux (Topsham), Laura Libby (Hollis Center), Emma Moll (Freeport), Grace Pettingill (Scarborough), and Gabrielle Thibodeau (Belgrade), Kate Twombly (Saco).
